When I joined Ethos in April '07 I had been through 2 knee surgeries, had never been to a gym before and didn't know what to expect. I was not in great shape and was not able to do much including run or do military style push-ups. Then I met Artie, who has over this past year helped mold me into shape and become a stronger person mentally and physically.
I started out with personal training and worked my way up to kickboxing, kinesis, boot camp and other classes that were offered. I am at Ethos 5-6 times a week and can't seem to get enough of what they have to offer! I am down 4 sizes and almost 40 pounds since training with Artie. Now I can run a couple miles, do military style push-ups and have the courage to try new ways of training that go outside my comfort zone :)
I am not 100% at my goal yet but the transformation I have made within the past year blows my mind everyday. I am able to do things I NEVER thought were possible for me to do. Like burpies...You can ask Artie about those!
I feel so grateful and fortunate to know him and have the privilege to train with him. The dedication, creativity and compassion he shows goes above and beyond anything I have ever seen. Weather it be an encouraging e-mail or encouraging words during a workout, he is involved and cares about the progress the women at Ethos make.
Sometimes we may think he has lost it when he says things like do 200 walking lunges, 100 floor wipers and 50 push-ups plus more, but we always do it and feel so accomplished afterwards! Artie likes to show us how we've grown and progressed along the way by giving us new challenges and that's exactly what they are...CHALLENGES! This is the exciting part though because we see how far we've come and we can now create a new set of goals!!
If you ever have the chance to experience a session with Artie I encourage
you to do so, you will see training and exercise in a whole new positive light. :) I know I have and will always be thankful for his help.

Want to feel great? Positive? Motivated? Then join Ethos and make sure to hire a personal trainer. I've only been a member since January, but if you want results then train with a team who will help you achieve them. My first goal for joining Ethos and hiring a trainer was to get fit for my wedding in June. However, since training and trying new techniques that have made me feel better than ever, I've decided to make this goal a life long commitment. This health club has a multitude of great classes, but the best one I've tried so far is the group training class, aka boot camp, offered by Artie. Kinesis is another great group training I've been taking part of recently. This distinct workout has changed and shaped areas of my body that I never knew existed. Be prepared to work hard, but then be prepared for the results you can see and feel!
